Hi! My name is Kyra Jean Maniatis and I was born and raised in New York City. If you ask my family, they’ll tell you I’ve been performing since the moment I could move. They like to joke that I was dancing before I could walk—and honestly, they’re probably right! My love for acting began early. I was on stage for my first school play in 1st grade, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Around the same time, I became fascinated with voice-over acting and told everyone that’s what I wanted to do.

I’ve been taking acting classes off and on since 2020, but for the past year or so, I’ve had the privilege of training weekly with Erin Lee, who teaches at Trevor Day School’s conservatory, where I’m currently in middle school. Before that, I kept practicing during the pandemic with an actress who guided me through acting exercises online. Those sessions helped me keep the dream alive, even when the world felt like it was standing still.

By 5th grade, I knew I wanted to take acting seriously—it’s not just a hobby for me; it’s what I want to do. My parents gave me some time to make sure I was really ready to commit, and guess what? Here I am, still passionate, still determined, and ready to put in the work to grow as an actor.

Whether it’s on stage, on camera, or even behind a microphone doing voice-over work, I’m excited about where this journey will take me.
